During the summer of their first year as a team, Dover Shockwave Robotics fundraised and aquired an Ultimaker 3D printer kit, which they assembled themselves and have been using ever since to design and create objects for their robot and team.

Our First 3D Printed Part
This is the first thing the team designed and printed. Its a mount for the led ring. It centers the led ring over the camera lense to track reflective objects with the camera during the tournament.

3D Printed Chain Tensioner
This is a chain tensioner that we designed and printed on our Ultimaker 3D printer to tension the chain on our 2014-2015 robot.
-
80/20 Edge Protector
This is a 3D printed end cap for the ends of our cut aluminum extrusions to protect people and other robots from sharp edges. It also adds a bit of color to an otherwise silver robot.

Recycle Rush Robot
Although we did not 3D print our robot, we used the same 3D design software to design our robot almost entirely on the computer as a 3D CAD model in the first week of our build season. This allowed us to build the robot more swiftly having it completely designed ahead of the build.

Ekocycle 3D printer
This is a new 3D printer acquired by the team in 2015 by a donation from Cokecola and Ekocycle to a lot of first teams. We were selected as a recipient team and now we have TWO 3D PRINTERS!
