Jim Cole found this cool write up on the original brushless motor pattent and they 3d printed a working model of it. Now that is a cool angle to pull up old patents to teach about technogly that hadn't changed much

Auto Desk has a cloud based version of any Arduino as well. I have not done any complicated projects in it but the simple stuff works. E-waste cnc plotter from old dvd drives.
